Revelation 14:6-20 Messages of the three angels.

SLIDE 1 Messages of the three angels. Revelation 14:6-20
READ Revelation 14:6 Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people.
Throughout the gospels followers of Christ are told to spread God's story.  A command from Jesus to spread his gospel is known as the Great Commission in Matthew 28. Until now no angel has been given this task. By now most of the Christians have been martyred and are removed from the earth. However God is merciful and will give one last chance to anyone who has not taken the mark of the beast. This would have to be people hiding from the antichrist and his regime.
SLIDE 2 Once they take the mark of the beast they cannot be redeemed from the earth.
READ Matthew 6:24"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
During the Tribulation, you can only have one mark. Man cannot serve God and the beast.
SLIDE 3 The first angel declares an eternal gospel message to every nation every tribe, language, and people.
READ Revelation 14:7-8 And he said with a loud voice, "Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water." 8Another angel, a second, followed, saying, "Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passion of her sexual immorality."
This angel warns the people to fear God and to give glory to God instead of Antichrist. He must be talking to the faithful ones without the mark. Otherwise, he would be proclaiming a message of doom. The Greek word translated "gospel" literally means "good news." The only way we can offer people hope is to teach the eternal gospel-how to receive the Lord Jesus Christ by faith. A message concerning only the judgment of God offers no hope.
SLIDE 4 The Second Angel in verse eight tells us that Babylon has fallen with no details.
A religious Babylon, the false religious system, takes place in the middle of the Tribulation. “Babylon" is symbolic of the world and its evil system. We will see more on that in chapter 17. If the angel is speaking of the literal city of Babylon, destruction of this is revealed in chapter 16.
SLIDE 5 The third Angel says with a loud voice
READ Revelation 14:9-11 And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, "If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand,10he also will drink the wine of God's wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb.
SLIDE 6 11And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name." The hour of God’s judgment has come.
The "fire and brimstone" here is the very same as that which destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah. Just as the angels saw Sodom burn, they are a witness to this as well. The Lamb (Jesus) is the Judge who speaks judgment. It not only will be in His presence, but He will order this punishment as well.
This "smoke" that comes up rises from the bottomless pit. You see this "torment" is not just for a short time and is over. This is FOREVER just as heaven is forever for the believers. This "torment" is forever.  http://www.discoverrevelation.com/Rev_14.html
SLIDE 7 READ Revelation 14:12-1312Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.13And I heard a voice from heaven saying, "Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on." "Blessed indeed," says the Spirit, "that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!"
With perseverance the saints martyred for the Lord during the Tribulation. They will be blessed through rest, resurrection, and reigning with Christ during the Millennium (Rev. 20:4-6). They will receive a reward for their works of obedience.
SLIDE 8 The Harvest of the Earth At first I believed v.14 that the “one like a son of man” is Jesus himself is sitting on the white cloud with the golden crown on his head and a sharp sickle. Those who adhere to Mid-trib view see the first sickle as being the “rapture” of believers and the second harvest as a judgment of the lost.
READ Matthew 3:12 John the Baptist speaks of Jesus 12 His winnowing fork is in his hand, and he will clear his threshing floor and gather his wheat into the barn, but the chaff he will burn with unquenchable fire."

SLIDE 9 READ Revelation 14:14-17Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and seated on the cloud one like a son of man, with a golden crown on his head, and a sharp sickle in his hand.15 And another angel came out of the temple, calling with a loud voice to him who sat on the cloud, "Put in your sickle, and reap, for the hour to reap has come, for the harvest of the earth is fully ripe."16 So he who sat on the cloud swung his sickle across the earth, and the earth was reaped. 17 Then another angel came out of the temple in heaven, and he too had a sharp sickle.
SLIDE 10 I don’t like to think of Jesus coming after me with a sickle. I also question whether an angel in v.15 has authority to give instructions to the Son of Man. Pre-tribulation view believes the “rapture” having taken place earlier and perceive both of these harvests referring to judgment of the lost. I really don’t know. Perhaps Michael the Archangel, often referred to as a prince would have a crown and swing a sickle. But either way, it is the second sickle that would cause alarm.
SLIDE 11 Moody Bible Institute's past president George Sweeting told about a student who was befuddled when his professor spoke about the pre-tribulation rapture, and the mid-tribulation, and the post-tribulation rapture; finally the student was in despair.  He folded his arms, sat down, and said, I.A.K.. And the professor said, What does that mean?  The student said, That means I am confused.   The professor said, Confused doesn't start with a 'K'.  The student replied, You don't know how confused I am. This episode of I love Lucy popped into my head as I studied the winepress.
Ladies, the more I study the more confused I get. But one day we will understand it better by and by.
READ 1 Corinthians 13:12 “Now we see through a glass darkly, but then face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as also I am known.
SLIDE 12 READ Joel 3:13 Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Go in, tread, for the winepress is full. The vats overflow, for their evil is great. Multitudes, multitudes, in the valley of decision! For the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
Today God is speaking to the world in grace, and men will not listen. One day he will speak in wrath. The bitter cup will be drunk, the harvest of sin reaped, and the vine of the earth cut down and cast into the wine press.
SLIDE 13 READ 18-20 And another angel came out from the altar, the angel who has authority over the fire, and he called with a loud voice to the one who had the sharp sickle, "Put in your sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, for its grapes are ripe."
19So the angel swung his sickle across the earth and gathered the grape harvest of the earth and threw it into the great winepress of the wrath of God. 20And the winepress was trodden outside the city, and blood flowed from the winepress, as high as a horse's bridle, for 1,600 stadia.
SLIDE 14 There are numerous examples in the Old Testament.
Read Nahum 1:2 “The LORD is a jealous and avenging God; the LORD is avenging and wrathful; the Lord takes vengeance on his adversaries and keeps wrath for his enemies.”
Until I did a verse search for the cup of wrath and went through the gospel, I was too focus on who would receive the cup of God’s wrath, that I forgot Jesus had already taken the cup of God’s wrath, a cup that has accumulated the fury of God against sins of all types. Heinous crimes, adultery, careless words, dishonoring thoughts, lies — all of it will be punished by God.
SLIDE 15 READMark 14:36   (ESV) And he said, "Abba, Father, all things are possible for you. Remove this cup from me. Yet not what I will, but what you will." Jesus knew extent of this suffering.
This is the cup Jesus drinks on the cross. There, at Golgotha, our Savior drained God’s cup of burning anger. God poured out his wrath, full strength, undiluted, onto his Son. Paul summarizes the meaning of this great event,
2 Corinthians 5:21 “For our sake he made him to be sin who knew no sin, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God” .
SLIDE 16 Let us never forget the suffering that Jesus endured. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus, remember Christ ask up to remember his death and resurrection. Share your faith with those that don’t understand how much the gift of salvation cost Him!
The hour of God’s judgment has come. Maybe not today, maybe not tomorrow but One Day
SLIDE 17 READ Philippians 2:9-11 Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name,10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth,11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.

Revelation 14:1-5 Sing a new Song

SLIDE 1 After my Mother lay non-responsive for a week, I prayed for God’s mercy to take her home and take her from her failing tent of flesh. After a lingering disease like cancer, it is such sweet release to be absent from the body.  Face to face with Jesus, what could be better! What a day that will be when my Jesus I shall see!
SLIDE 2 Revelation 141Then I looked, and behold, on Mount Zion stood the Lamb, and with him 144,000 who had his name and his Father's name written on their foreheads. 2And I heard a voice from heaven like the roar of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder. The voice I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps,3and they were singing a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and before the elders. No one could learn that song except the 144,000 who had been redeemed from the earth.
SLIDE 3 We’ll discuss 144,000 after we discuss the New Song
Psalm 33:3 Sing unto Him a new song; play skillfully with a loud noise. Psalms 40:3 - And he hath put a new song in my mouth, [even] praise unto our God: many shall see [it], and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

Psalms 96:1-
4 -
1Oh sing to the LORD a new song; sing to the LORD, all the earth!
2Sing to the LORD, bless his name; tell of his salvation from day to day.3Declare his glory among the nations, his marvelous works among all the peoples!4 For great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised; he is to be feared above all gods.

SLIDE 4 Psalms 98:1 O sing unto the LORD a new song; for He hath done marvellous things: his right hand, and his holy arm, hath gotten him the victory.

Psalm 144:9
I will sing a new song unto Thee, O God; upon a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings will I sing praises unto Thee.
Psalm 149:1 Praise the LORD! Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the godly!
SLIDE 5 Isaiah 42:10 - Sing unto the LORD a new song, [and] his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.
Revelation 5:9 - And they sung a new song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to God by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation;
Look at all the psalms that include the words New Song. Ladies anytime you are down or depressed turn to Psalms. You may want to highlight these because they are about praising the LORD. We must not look on our present situations but praise God for his promises.
SLIDE 6 The sound of roar of water and sound of thunder could be the intensity of the number that are singing. Psalm 33:3 says with a loud noise. No quiet sitting on clouds here.
Verse 2 says the sound of harpists playing on their harps, Psalm 144:9 quotes on a psaltery and an instrument of ten strings
Wow! Can you imagine was that would be like? Better than any rock concert!
Revelation 7:3 saying, "Do not harm the earth or the sea or the trees, until we have sealed the servants of our God on their foreheads."4 And I heard the number of the sealed, 144,000, sealed from every tribe of the sons of Israel:
SLIDE 7 These are not the 144,000 spoken of in ch. 7 - the 12,000 from the 12 tribes of Judah. The qualifiers in the first few verses of ch. 14 show the difference.
Revelation14: 4-5 It is these who have not defiled themselves with women, for they are virgins. It is these who follow the Lamb wherever he goes. These have been redeemed from mankind as firstfruits for God and the Lamb,5and in their mouth no lie was found, for they are blameless.
SLIDE 8 V.1 Name of Lamb (not KJV) and the Father on their forehead LaHaye feels the 144,000 of are Christians "purchased from among men and offered as firstfruits to God and the Lamb." This indicates that their selection was not for the spreading of the gospel on the earth during the Tribulation, but for a special position at the throne of God before Him and the Lord Jesus Christ. The name on their forehead will show Yeshua will be foremost in their thought. Him on shall they serve.
SLIDE 9 Pure( Greek  for “virgin”) and faithful (not bowing to the beast)
The word virgin here means chaste and is applied to men. Although celibacy is not taught in the Bible, Paul wrote in 1 Corinthians 7: The unmarried man is anxious about the things of the Lord, how to please the Lord. 33 But the married man is anxious about worldly things, how to please his wife, 34 and his interests are divided. Paul hinted in verse 7 that “I wish that all were as I myself am.”  not married so you can devote your life to Christ.
SLIDE 10 The raptured church with the 144,000 in Ch. 14 being martyred are in this scene before Mt. Zion is either taking place in Heavenly Mt. Zion or on Earthly Mt. Zion following the return of Christ at the end of tribulation. This multitude will be the fruit of the 144,000 who will also be killed.  The 144,000 will fulfill in the 70th week the role that God had planned for Israel.
Follow the lamb everywhere (sold out to live only for Christ) Must be heaven since Christ is there before Tribulation
Redeemed from the earth (purchased from many nations not just the Jews)
SLIDE 11 Firstfruits of the Harvest of the earth (Jews have Festival of Weeks from Leviticus bringing the first of their harvest of the fields to the LORD. They also brought first born of their flocks.)
These were first born after the midpoint of Tribulation again by receiving Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and Lord. They have been faithful in completely abandoning their will to the will of Christ during their lifetimes. It appears they have earned their position because of their faithfulness in doing whatever the Lord commissioned them to do.
SLIDE 12 Blameless, not perfect -No lie in their mouth
Notice it does not say they are sinless. They have been purchased by the blood of the Lamb, saved the same way you and I are, yet there is something about their commitment to Christ that is special. There is no major blight on their record as believers.
1Thessalonians 2:10  You are witnesses, and God also, how holy and righteous and blameless was our conduct toward you believers.
Only ones to know the New Song
Each week Kim text me to tell her the songs I've chosen. Usually a song will enter my head as I do my study. Can you imagine the sound in heaven when the 144,000 are singing their new song? How hard is it for you to sing after suffering a loss?
SLIDE 13Horatio Spafford prominent American lawyer invested in real estate north of an expanding Chicago in the spring of 1871 when the Great Fire of Chicago reduced the city to ash and destroyed most of Spafford's sizable investment.  In 1873, Spafford decided his family should take a holiday in England knowing that his friend D. L. Moody would be preaching there. He was delayed because of business, so he sent his wife and their four daughters ahead.
While crossing the Atlantic on the steamship Ville du Havre, their ship collided with a British iron clipper Loch Earn and 226 people lost their lives, including all four of Spafford's daughters. Anna Spafford survived the tragedy. Upon arriving in England, she sent a telegram to her husband beginning "Saved alone." Spafford then sailed to England, passing over the location of his daughters' deaths. According to Bertha Spafford Vester, a daughter born after the tragedy, Spafford wrote the famous song "It Is Well with My Soul" on this journey. The hour of God’s judgment has come.

SLIDE 14 Throughout the gospels followers of Christ are told to spread God's story. Once they take the mark of the beast they cannot be redeemed from the earth.
SLIDE 15 Matthew 6:24"No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money.
During the Tribulation, you can only have one mark. Man cannot serve God and the beast.

Revelation 13:10-18 The Anti-Christ and the False Prophet

SLIDE  1  The Unholy Trinity
       Dragon-Satan 12:3
       1st beast-Antichrist 13:1
       2nd beast-False Prophet 13:11
SLIDE  2 picture of three The Dragon is Satan supposedly give power to the 1st beast  the Antichrist with the 10 horns. Second beast in the background is the false prophet raining down fire.
SLIDE  3 Some of these points on the chart have been met throughout history by Ruler or dictators. The anti-Christ will meet them ALL 10 requirements. We will go over all of these reverences and the last 8 verses in ch.13.
SLIDE  4 Zooming in on the anti-Christ look at Revelation 13:5 For 42 months 13:6 It opened its mouth to utter blasphemies against God, blaspheming his name and his dwelling, that is, those who dwell in heaven Antichrist it is a culmination of the animals from Daniel. Look at the bear feet.
He will not look like a beast but will probably very handsome. Only God can give the Antichrist authority, unbelievers will be attracted to the charismatic leader who makes promises to save the world through his plans and programs. He will make peace with Israel and rebuilt the temple. And try to unite the world powers and create a one world religion. The world tries to figure out who this is. They show pictures of the pope, the president, other world leaders. As we go through the list, you will see it is not time.
1.     SLIDE  5 Not come on the world scene until after the Rapture:  2 Thessalonians 2:3 Let no one deceive you in any way. For that day will not come, unless the rebellion comes first, and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction,
2.  SLIDE  6 Rise to power in the Last Days: Daniel 8.19-23. 19He said, "Behold, I will make known to you what shall be at the latter end of the indignation, for it refers to the appointed time of the end.20As for the ram that you saw with the two horns, these are the kings of Media and Persia.21And the goat is the king of Greece. And the great horn between his eyes is the first king.22As for the horn that was broken, in place of which four others arose, four kingdoms shall arise from his nation, but not with his power.23And at the latter end of their kingdom, when the transgressors have reached their limit, a king of bold face, one who understands riddles, shall arise.
3.  SLIDE  7 Rule the entire world: Revelation 13.7 Also it was allowed to make war on the saints and to conquer them. And authority was given it over every tribe and people and language and nation,
4.  SLIDE 8  Rule by international consent: Revelation 17.12,13. 13These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast.
This is where people say one world government, one world currency. From this description, it is logical to assume that this person is the leader of a one-world government which is recognized as sovereign over all other governments. A logical conclusion is that the disasters and plagues described in Revelation as the seal and trumpet judgments will be so devastating and create such a monumental global crisis that people will embrace anything and anyone who promises to give them relief.
5.  SLIDE 9 Rule by deception: Daniel 8:24-25His power shall be great---but not by his own power; and he shall cause fearful destruction and shall succeed in what he does, and destroy mighty men and the people who are the saints.25By his cunning he shall make deceit prosper under his hand, and in his own mind he shall become great. Without warning he shall destroy many. And he shall even rise up against the Prince of princes, and he shall be broken---but by no human hand.
6.  SLIDE 10 Be intelligent and persuasive: Daniel 7.20… the ten horns that were on its head, and the other horn that came up and before which three of them fell, the horn that had eyes and a mouth that spoke great things, and that seemed greater than its companions.
7.     SLIDE  11  Control the global economy: Revelation 13.16,17,18
16 Also it causes all, both small and great, both rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead,17 so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of its name.18 This calls for wisdom: let the one who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man, and his number is 666.

SLIDE 12 The meaning of 666 is a mystery, and it appears that the apostle John, writing under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, intended it to be that way. Calculating it, John says, requires “wisdom.”  Any name can add up to 666 if enough mathematical gymnastics are employed.
8.     SLIDE 13 Be assisted by the False Prophet: Revelation 13.11-15
11  Then I saw another beast rising out of the earth. It had two horns like a lamb and it spoke like a dragon. 12It exercises all the authority of the first beast in its presence, and makes the earth and its inhabitants worship the first beast, whose mortal wound was healed.
False Prophets counterfeits work of Elijah calling fire from heaven.13 It performs great signs, even making fire come down from heaven to earth in front of people,14 and by the signs that it is allowed to work in the presence of the beast it deceives those who dwell on earth, telling them to make an image for the beast that was wounded by the sword and yet lived.15 And it was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain.
Similar to the statue of Nebuchadnezzar this image was made to be worshipped.
9.     SLIDE 14 Make & break a peace treaty with Israel: Daniel 9. 26And after the sixty-two weeks, an anointed one shall be cut off and shall have nothing. And the people of the prince who is to come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. Its end shall come with a flood, and to the end there shall be war. Desolations are decreed.27And he shall make a strong covenant with many for one week, and for half of the week he shall put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of abominations shall come one who makes
10.            SLIDE 15 Claim to be God: 2 Thessalonians 2.4   who opposes and exalts himself against every so-called god or object of worship, so that he takes his seat in the temple of God, proclaiming himself to be God.
2 Corinthians 11:13-15 For such men are false apostles, deceitful workmen, disguising themselves as apostles of Christ.14 And no wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light.15 So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.
SLIDE 16  Matthew 24:11-14 11And many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. 12And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold. 13But the one who endures to the end will be saved.14And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.
