Revelation 22 “COME LORD JESUS"

SLIDE 1 Revelation 22 “COME LORD JESUS”
• More about Heaven
• Christ Last Challenge to Humankind
• People Get Ready
Seeing a church sign -Holy Christian Singers Homecoming, it made me think of our study. Ladies we will sing and rejoice at our homecoming. Even if you screech at the high notes or can’t carry a tune, in heaven you will sing like an angel. PRAY
SLIDE 2 Tim LaHaye Revelation Unveiled  comments on chapter Revelation 22
It is a fitting way to end not only this greatest book of all books on prophecy The Revelation of Jesus Christ, but also the library of God's Word. The Bible opens with two chapters in Genesis we encounter God's description of creation and heavenlike conditions on earth prepared for humankind. The last two chapters of Revelation describe the eternal heaven that God will reestablish for them. All the chapters in between contains a great conflict of the ages as human beings turn their backs on God and He seems to  draws them to himself.
As beautiful and lush as the Garden of Eden was prepared by our Father for His new creationbut  Heaven cannot be described with mere words from a man.
1 Corinthians 2:9
“What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, nor the heart of man imagined, what God has prepared for those who love him”— People Get Ready
SLIDE 3   What’s new in 22?
1. The River of the Water of Life
2. The Tree of life
3. No longer any Curse
4. Face to face with God
5. No night
We learned in chapter 21 that the New Jerusalem will have no seas but verse one of Chapter 22 promises water of life. Fact: An adult can perhaps survive 3-5 days without water; however, a baby locked in a hot car could potentially die of dehydration within several hours.

SLIDE 4 Ladies don’t be shy, if you see a baby or a pet alone in a hot car; make some noise. We need water to survive, but we need the living water to life.

Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb

Isaiah 55:1 Invites us to come to the Father everyone that is thirsty. "Come, everyone who thirsts, come to the waters; and he who has no money, come, buy and eat! “
John 4:13-14 Jesus talked to the Samaritan women at the well about the living water. "Everyone who drinks of this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water that I will give him will never be thirsty again. The water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life."
SLIDE 5 2through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month.

Adam was commanded "You may surely eat of every tree of the garden, but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you shall not eat, for in the day that you eat of it you shall surely die." Genesis 2:16-17 Once they sinned, they were cast out of the garden.
But in Heaven we will eat from the tree of life freely, constantly. We don’t know if we will eat meat, (I think not because the animals will roam around us like pets free from fear of man.) We don’t know what kind of fruit will be on the tree. But this I know my Father will provide us with every good thing. We will be so happy that we will not grumble or complain. We will not gain weight because we will have a perfect body, no indigestion nor acid reflux. Can I hear an Amen? Just wait until next week’s dinner.
SLIDE 6 2- The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. Healing not from sickness or disease (which will not be present in heaven) but means health and harmony the word nations encompasses every inhabitant. Can you imagine relationships without pouting, or whining, no disagreements or bitterness?  Shouldn’t we start practicing it now! People Get Ready

Proverbs 11:19 Wisdom(good sense) makes one slow to anger, and it is his glory to overlook an offense.

SLIDE 7 3No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him.

Satan and his demons are in the lake of fire. They no longer have access to the throne or man. No ungodly thing will be in the city. The throne of God will be foremost in the city and we will constantly sing and praise and worship Him forevermore.

SLIDE 8 4-We will see his face! This is my greatest desire. Though Moses was considered a friend of God he did not see God’s face.…. Exodus 33:18-23 Moses asked God, "Please show me your glory."2But," God (he) said, "you cannot see my face, for man shall not see me and live."….I will put you in a cleft of the rock, and I will cover you with my hand until I have passed by.23…you shall see my back, but my face shall not be seen."

SLIDE 9 But in heaven
• We shall behold Him
• Face to face in all of His glory
• We shall behold Him
• Face to face, our Savior and Lord
SLIDE 10 4-His name will be on our foreheads indicating that we are blood bought children of God.
John 14:2 In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.
Greg Laurie says “Heaven is prepared for those who are prepared for heaven.”Are you Ready?
1 John3:1-2See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.  Dear friends, now we are children of God, and what we will be has not yet been made known. But we know that when Christ appears, we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is.

SLIDE 11 5And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

John 8:12 Again Jesus spoke to them, saying, “I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will not walk in darkness, but will have the light of life.”

As I prayed over this last lecture, the Holy Spirit urged me to show you activities to help you get ready for the Lord’s Return.
SLIDE 12 Greg Laurie says: In the New Testament's 260 chapters, Christ's return is mentioned no less than 318 times. Statistically, one verse for every 25 pages of the Bible refers to the return of Jesus Christ in some way, shape, or form. Make no mistake about it: Jesus Christ will come back again, and God has given us specific instructions for what we are to do while we wait. What can you do to Ready?
SLIDE 12 Christ Last Challenge to Humankind
• Obey God’s Commands
• Serve the Lord
• Keep God’s Word
• Be watchful
People Get Ready
Greg Laurie Taken from "While You Wait We should anxiously await His return. Have you ever been looking forward to seeing someone? You wait for the sound of that person's car in the driveway. You pull the door open before your friend can even knock. That's what it means to "anxiously await" someone's arrival. If anything would cause us hesitancy in saying, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus!" (Revelation 22:20 NKJV), then we need to carefully examine our lives.
SLIDE 13 Biscuit is my daughter’s third child. She adopted him when Gaven grew out of the baby stage. He goes to work with her, and is the official greeter dog at Lineberger Vet. When he stays with NannyAnn he always know the sound of Kristen’s car as she drives down my street. He jumps off the sofa and runs around in circles and makes a little whimpering sound waiting for her to come through the door. Ladies that is anxiously awaiting. Are you anxiously waiting? People Get Ready
SLIDE 14 Jesus Is Coming 6And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place."
7"And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."
8I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me,
9but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."
10And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
11Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy."
These words are trustworthy and true.

Page 2 member scriptures
12"Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay everyone for what he has done. 13I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
This statement will either scare you to death or fill you with joy. Are you ready?

SLIDE 15 Obey God’s Commands
• 2 Peter 3:14 Therefore, beloved, since you are waiting for these, be diligent to be found by him without spot or blemish, and at peace.
• 1 John 3:2-3 Beloved, we are God's children now, and what we will be has not yet appeared; but we know that when he appears we shall be like him, because we shall see him as he is. And everyone who thus hopes in him purifies himself as he is pure.

SLIDE 16  14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates. How do we wash our robes? Only in the blood of Jesus Christ can we be pure and spotless.
17The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
Let’s close our eyes right now. If someone needs an invitation, here it is! Three times it says Come! Come to the Savior now. Accept Jesus as Lord and leave your burdens at Calvary. Maybe you want to pray for a loved one who is not ready.
SLIDE 17  Serve the Lord
• Luke 12: 37Blessed are those servants whom the master finds awake when he comes.
43 will find so doing when he comes.
• Ephesians 6:7 Serve wholeheartedly, as if you were serving the Lord,
SLIDE 18 What should we be doing? Loving others, telling the wonderful story of Jesus,  sharing our blessing with those in need. Widows and orphans are close to my heart, but each women here has a purpose. Woe to the one not serving when He comes.
SLIDE 19 Keep God’s Word
• Deuteronomy 4:2 You shall not add to the word that I command you, nor take from it, that you may keep the commandments of the LORD your God that I command you.
• Matthew 5:18 "For truly I say to you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.” NASV
• Revelation 22:7 Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.
Verse 7Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."
This is different from obeying God’s commandments. This is especially for Pastors and teachers. Woe to the ones that do not teach about heaven and hell.

SLIDE 20 We don’t change the Word of God, the Word of God changes us!
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
Ladies I have read and studied many resources. I have prayed and listened to the Spirit to deliver the Word accurately and fully. My best efforts to stay true to the Word of God will be incomplete because I can’t know it all. I sincerely beg forgiveness from God for any misspeak or wrong interpretation due to lack of knowledge or misunderstanding.
SLIDE 18 Be watchful From the first chapter in
Revelation 1:3Blessed is the one who reads aloud the words of this prophecy, and blessed are those who hear, and who keep what is written in it, for the time is near.
Matthew 24:44 Therefore you also must be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.
Revelation 16:15 ("Behold, I am coming like a thief! Blessed is the one who stays awake, keeping his garments on, that he may not go about naked and be seen exposed!")
Where do you want to be when the LORD comes? What do you want to be doing?
Salutations from John
20He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
21The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.
This world is not my home, I am so ready to see Jesus face to face. Ladies are you ready?

Revelation 21-New Heaven and New Earth

SLIDE 1 A dying man asked his Christian physician to tell him something about the next life. The doctor fumbled for a reply, when he heard a scratching at the door. "Do you hear that?" he asked his patient. "It's my dog. I left him outside. He has no notion what is inside this door, but he knows that I am here. Isn't it the same with you? You don't know what lies beyond the Door, but you know that your Master is there." A.M. Hunter, Christian Theology in Plain Language, p. 208.

While teaching Randy Alcorn’s “Heaven” an older lady firmly stated, “No one can know what heaven is like.”
Sisters the last two chapters of Revelation is all we need to know.  PRAY
SLIDE 2 Revelation Chapter 21 New Heaven and New Earth
·        Where is your home?
·        God is into details?
Heaven is my home.
As beautiful and thrilling it will be to be present at the wedding feast of the lamb, there will be an unexplainable joy when we behold the Holy City, New Jerusalem.
SLIDE 3 Warren Wiersbe says “Human history began in a garden and ends in a city like a garden paradise.” He developed a chart comparing the creation in Genesis and the recreation in Revelation.
Genesis
Revelation

Heavens and earth created, 1:1
Sun created, 1:16
The night established, 1:5
The seas created, 1:10
The curse announced, 3:14—17
Death enters history, 3:19
Man driven from garden, 3:24
Sorrow and pain begin, 3:17 17

New heavens and earth, 21:1
No need of the sun, 21:23
No night there, 22:5
No more seas, 21:1
No more curse, 22:3
No more death, 21:4
Man restored to paradise, 22:14
No more tears or pain, 21:4

The exciting thing in the New Jerusalem is what will be missing. No more evil, wickedness, nor greed. No more fear nor curse nor death. No more pain, nor tears, nor sorrow.
SLIDE 4 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. As John watched2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
The saints referred to in 19:7-8 will inhabit the New Jerusalem. The Holy City and the citizens will share the Lamb’s eternal love. All believers will abide in this eternal home for God’s people not only the church, but all redeemed people from all ages. John describes it as a holy city, a prepared city (John 14:1-6) and a beautiful city.
*A tourist was visiting a village priest, as the man looked around the sparse furnishing in the humble abode he ask the man of God, “Where is your furniture?”  The old priest replied, “Well, where is your furniture?” he man stuttered and spouted, “I’m just a visitor I am just travelling through.” The holy man smiled and nodded his head. “Me too!” Ladies Heaven is my home.

SLIDE 5  3 "Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.”
Wiersbe says the Bible records the dwelling places of God.
·        God walked in the Garden of Eden with Adam and Eve.
SLIDE 6 Hebrews 11:10 Abraham… was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God.
God gave to Moses the exact dimensions and details to build in the desert tabernacle where His glory could reside.
SLIDE 7 Later Solomon and Herod completed elaborate temples to worship and give honor to the LORD. In both temples, the veil stood between men and God. When Israel sinned God departed from those dwellings.
·        John 1:14 says “the Word became flesh and dwelt among us,” God’s plan for our salvation from Creation.
SLIDE 8  At the exact moment that Christ died, the veil was torn from top to bottom to permit our access to a holy, unapproachable God. No more blood sacrifices to pay for sin. No more priests to intercede. Jesus was the perfect sacrificial lamb. His blood was the price, paid in full for you and me. For every sin-past, present, and future, we are redeemed, justified, and sanctified. Jesus Christ is our advocate seated at the right hand of God making intercession.
On the Day of Pentecost the Holy Spirit came to live in the bodies of His disciples. Today God does not live in manmade temples, but in us. 1 Cor. 6:19your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you,” If you received the Holy Spirit He will fill you up to overflowing. Release all your bitterness, fear, and pain. Let Him fill you with joy, unspeakable joy, love overflowing on everyone you meet, and peace that passes all understanding.
SLIDE 9  But on that Day we shall behold Him in all His glory face to face bow at His feet unable to speak. His majesty will render us speechless, joy bubbly over. Heaven is my home.
4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away."
Glory what a day that will be I can only imagine when His face I see.
SLIDE 10  Why did God create a new heaven? Remember when Lucifer was an angel; when the devil appeared before the throne to accuse Job. The angels constantly battle in the heavenly. God will make all things new. There is no place for satan or his angels.
Rev.21:27 But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
SLIDE 11 5And he who was seated on the throne said, "Behold, I am making all things new." Also he said, "Write this down, for these words are trustworthy and true."
In life, we have all been deceived or cheated by salesmen or contractors. We can be disappointed in family or friends. But Christ Jesus can be trusted He is truth, he never disappoints, and He will never leave us or forsake us.
SLIDE 12 NO SEAS In Genesis the seas became a barrier separating what we now know to be continents, dividing the nations of man. John was on an island surrounded by water, separated from other Christians and loved ones. On the new earth, it there will be no sea because the earth will be restored to its original splendor. 64 There will be no more seas but that does not mean there is no water for the River of Life flows from the throne of God. Chapter 22:1
6 And he said to me, "It is done! I am the Alpha and the Omega, the beginning and the end. To the thirsty, I will give from the spring of the water of life without payment. What a glorious promise. Heaven is my eternal home.
7The one who conquers will have this heritage, and I will be his God and he will be my son.8But as for the cowardly, the faithless, the detestable, as for murderers, the sexually immoral, sorcerers, idolaters, and all liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death."9Then came one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls full of the seven last plagues and spoke to me, saying, "Come, I will show you the Bride, the wife of the Lamb."
SLIDE 13  Twelves in the Bible
Depending on the version of the Bible, you can find reference to the number 12 over 164 times in KJV. Twelve times in Joshua: you may remember our study with the mounds of 12 rocks and ten times in Revelation. The number twelve seems to be very important to God and it represents, in most cases, the number of perfection and authority.
 CLICK on each BULLET
·        Think of the twelve sons of Jacob becoming the twelve tribes of Israel.
·        There were 12 spies sent into the land of Canaan.
·        Joshua choose 12 men from the 12 tribes who carried 12 stones from the middle of the Jordan to build a monument to the Lord (Joshua 4:3).
·        The high priest’s breastplate had 12 precious stones embedded within them.
·        There are 12 Minor Prophets in the Old Testament.
·        There are 12 historical books in the Bible.
·        Jesus chooses twelve disciples. In the Bible as this number also signified governmental rule or authority.
·        In Revelation 7, twelve thousands from each of the 12 tribes of Israel will be saved near the end of the present world system.
·        Twelve thousand will be taken from the earth so that they may serve the Lamb of God, Jesus Christ (Rev 14:1-5)
SLIDE 14  There are an abundance of 12’s in Chapter 21
10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great, high mountain, and showed me the holy city Jerusalem coming down out of heaven from God,11 having the glory of God, its radiance like a most rare jewel, like a jasper, clear as crystal.
SLIDE 15 12 It had a great, high wall, with twelve gates, and at the gates twelve angels, and on the gates, the names of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel were inscribed---13 on the east three gates, on the north three gates, on the south three gates, and on the west three gates. 14And the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them were the twelve names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb. I can’t wait to be home in heaven.http://www.patheos.com/blogs/christiancrier/2014/09/28/what-does-the-number-twelve-12-mean-or-represent-in-the-bible/#ixzz3XteaMogO
SLIDE 16 21:15-16 And the one who spoke with me had a measuring rod of gold to measure the city and its gates and walls.16 The city lies foursquare, its length the same as its width. And he measured the city with his rod, 12,000 stadia. Its length and width and height are equal
The city lies foursquare meaning the city is a cube.. The size of this city indicates that each border is approximately fifteen hundred miles long. Thus the dimensions of the city would be equal to the area of the United States from North Carolina to Colorado across one side and from the Canadian border to the southern tip of Florida on the other. In addition to the length and breadth, the city will be fifteen hundred miles high. This great size will afford sufficient space for the habitation of the saints from all ages of history. http://www.discoverrevelation.com/Rev_21.html
SLIDE 17 The wall was built of jasper, while the city was pure gold, clear as glass.19 The foundations of the wall of the city were adorned with every kind of jewel. The first was jasper, the second sapphire, the third agate, the fourth emerald,20 the fifth onyx, the sixth carnelian, the seventh chrysolite, the eighth beryl, the ninth topaz, the tenth chrysoprase, the eleventh jacinth, the twelfth amethyst.21 And the twelve gates were twelve pearls, each of the gates made of a single pearl, and the street of the city was pure gold, transparent as glass.
Twelve brilliantly colored gemstones will reflect the shining radiance of God's glory into a spectrum of beautiful colors that will flash from New Jerusalem throughout the re-created universe.
SLIDE 18 23 And I saw no temple in the city, for its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb.23 And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.24 By its light will the nations walk, and the kings of the earth will bring their glory into it, 25 and its gates will never be shut by day---and there will be no night there. 26They will bring into it the glory and the honor of the nations.27But nothing unclean will ever enter it, nor anyone who does what is detestable or false, but only those who are written in the Lamb's book of life.
There is no temple in heaven because God will be with us. No need for sacrifices in the temple because Christ was the supreme sacrifice that redeemed all from their sins forever. Until then ladies we must be light in the world. We must reflect His light through our love for others. Do not hide your light under a bushel but go out tomorrow and shine, shine, shine.

SLIDE 19 Will you choose heaven for your eternal home?
